Just so you know my very favorite all time band is “Yes” and your lyrical, melodic guitar work is reminiscent of a brilliant Steve Howe solo. The uplifting beauty of your playing just makes my heart soar with joy and I in the fashion of a true classic solo it only gets better each time I listen. Also, the mix is beautiful!! Thank you for working such magic on my vocals!! I have always looked up to you and the beauty of your work, but you have just confirmed in my mind your brilliance as a musician! I will stop gushing now , but I could go on indefinitely!! Thank You from the bottom of my heart for what you’ve done!! You will be in my heart every time I hear this piece🙏🙏🙏

• The Low Budget records Across Their Universe II – Another Lowbudget Tribute to the Beatles is so amazing that I would like to cover a review of a song every week. Let’s see how much we can accomplish in that regard. Kenny Selcer comes up with an amazing rendition of “Michelle,” a sweeping arrangement, Kenny’s vocals up front and center. Selcer is a mainstay on the folk circuit, often playing in a duo with Stomper Steve Gilligan. What’s important here with Kenny performing a cover is that you get to feel and understand his unique musicianship. It is stellar, and without focusing on his original compositions – which are creative and impressive – you have a better chance to observe his artistic endeavors in reworking a classic. Go to his website Kennyselcer.com and put slash michelle1 dot html http://www.kennyselcer.com/michelle1.html - Joe Viglione's Blog in the Somerville Weekly News, 1/20/20
• Kenny Selcer is hands down the most talented performer I have ever seen on the open mike circuit. His great songs were aided and abetted by the bass virtuosity and Beatle-esque harmonies of Steve Gilligan, ex of the legendary Stompers! - Jake Garrels
• The combination of these two talented souls simply blew me away!!! - Susan Lee Anderson
• CD Review: Tangled In A Tree - The Noise (Boston)
Fallon makes the type of music that requires you to leave your cynicism at home. For many a Bostonian, this would probably be a deal breaker, but it’s their loss. The music here is pretty, intelligent and expressive, mostly folk but with some country flair as well. Fallon’s songs have as much PMA as the Bad Brains and enough ruminations on friendship to fit in perfectly on a 7 Seconds record. Maybe the punks and the folkies aren’t all that different! The band is solid throughout, led by the subtly great playing of guitarist Kenny Selcer. (Kevin Finn)

Craig Fenton Kenny, it is my pleasure and all sincere. As you are aware I am an Old Rocker through and through but the first time I heard your music it was different and had a message, conviction, and was not the cookie-cutter nonsense being hyped. Whatever I can do to make sure more people are aware of your accomplishments in the music business comes from the heart. The CD should do well since the material is powerful and can translate to the concert stage. I hope when you perform live there is a merchandising table and the new fans and those that followed you since circa 16 years back can purchase the music you have created. Let me know how things are and as always you are welcome to post the review anywhere. May you and family have a Super Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!

• "We had the joy of hearing the Kenny Selcer Band at Scullers on October 24th. This band should be famous! As one of the hosts of the night, I got to hear people rave about the band. They were at their absolute best. “What amazing musicians, outstanding guitar playing, spirited, fun, yet warm and engaging and heartfelt at the same time. The melodies and the harmonies were delightful." People could not believe that many of the songs were Kenny’s originals.” Kenny Selcer is indeed gifted. • Ken, this is a great record! The “production values” are superb, but it’s not that that impresses me most, it’s the person in there. The heart and mind are so woven together, like the way the voice in “I Would Be With You” converses first with the guitar, then later with the accordion sound – heart and mind sharing the sorrow, talking to each other, commiserating, comforting each other. This kind of consciousness is so extraordinary both in our own small circle of songwriter/musicians and in the bigger music world. . . I don’t know if anyone appreciates this aspect of your record, but I want you to know I do. And the way you sometimes tumble the words together, and sometimes slip into imperatives (“Pick me up from the floor,” “Listen to the rhythm of your heart,” “Save yourself for the future,” lots more!)– so unorthodox. Gentle, direct speech and a perfect balance between a huge sense of loss and an equally large hopefulness. In the clear acknowledgment of a desperate world. The sterling arrangements and production should get you admired anywhere, but the unselfishness and generosity that shine from the songs are unheard-of in the current landscape . . . although hopefully there will be more room for it soon. I hope more people are telling you things like this because it is a beautiful record. I am ashamed to say I didn’t know this great articulate spirit resided in you (I may be among “those who talk like they know everything”!). But if it is a genie that just finally materialized, huge welcomes! My favorites (for what it’s worth -- I love them all! -- are “Even to a Shining Star” and “I Would Be With You.” And “Outstanding” is really funny. Terence Hegarty, singer and songwriter
• "The most powerful thing I've noticed about Kenny Selcer's album, Don't Forget About Me, is this: listening to it makes me feel good. Don't get me wrong- this isn't simple, superficial music. Nothing of the sort. These songs are songs that tell the truth about what it is like to be alive- facing loss, facing the future, facing our task here on earth: to create a life that is authentic and meaningful. How can I help but feel good in the presence of music that is this kind of real? Add to this, the fact that these are wonderfully crafted songs- that Kenny's voice rings true, and that his guitar playing is transcendental- and you have a winning combination. Thanks for making this for us all- you have cooked us up a delicious banquet of sound!" - Lynn McKenna, music lover, singer and songwriter, musician

The songs are terrific, as are the arrangements; all the playing -- yours and all your guests -- is inspired; the whole feel of the thing is warm and engaging -- like your live sets, only with a bigger, more colorful palette. And I don't know how I rate an acknowledgment, but thanks for that, and you certainly get to count me as a big fan. Looking forward to seeing you again soon." - John Loretz, singer and songwriter, The Busker Band
• "This is a wonderful CD, Kenny! It is an excellent collection of well-crafted songs, sensitively presented. Your voice shines, your guitar-playing is perfection, the arrangements are excellent, whether you are playing and singing alone or presenting a song with one or more of your talented accompanists. I’ve enjoyed the album on a first listen, and even more on a second listen. Many of these songs I’ve heard you do live. It’s a very hopeful collection of pieces. The songs go down easily – excellent melodies and chord choices. I hope that this album will get a lot of attention!" - Ellen Schmidt, musician, producer

• "Hey Kenny: Great CD. I must admit that my favorite is "I Would Be With You (Reprise)." Makes me wish it were up front on the album. It is really moving and the accordion sounding thing really locked me into the pathos. Really, really moving!!!!! Also I loved the hot and fun-filled guitar licks in Save Yourself. I liked the simpler/first Colors, which had a great feel and with the clarity of your creative acoustic guitar work underneath. Loved the various chord patterns in Fallen Down, with the backward stuff; had a back to the 60s feel. Outstanding is great, including the "crickets" and the chimes. I could go on, but those were some of the highlights for me. Don't misinterpret, though, it is rich and sweet throughout. Really nice stuff. Always tasteful, always clean, always inventive." Ed Loechler
• "Hi Kenny, I was off from work today so I got a chance to listen to your CD, not only once but twice because I enjoyed it so much. It is amazing! The songs have so much meaning as you reflect on life through these songs. Your singing, and the music is absolutely wonderful. I really enjoyed ALL the songs! "Don't Forget About Me" was a favorite, and "I Would Be With You" really hit home, even brought tears to my eyes, it was so meaningful, and so beautifully done, I loved it. Excellent job, great CD." • "Nice album, very listenable and in rotation on my car stereo (where most of my listening is done, unfortunately - I have a nice home stereo but time is the enemy of relaxation - I love listening at home more than anywhere else, but it's not easy getting time these days). Don't Forget About Me, Mister Mister (really liked the tension on this), Colors, and I Would Be With You are easily my faves......I Would Be With You: The accordion or harmonium really grabbed my ear. Lovely melody, too. Say You Will, with its funky, up bluesy feel may be my favorite track of the whole album (next to Mister Mister - dead heat I think). Great piano and organ. In my own stuff I lean toward these R&B-ish, jazzy type styles more and more. Lots of nice melodies and sweet picking, oh and Massachusetts Morning reminded me of early Eagles. Very Nice feel. Overall a very good job, Kenny." Jon McAuliffe
• "I'm wondering whether you'd consider backing me up occasionally? I love your very tasteful playing. Cheers" Mel Green
• "Thank you for the great music at Nourish! Your new song is great!!!!" Annie Rich
• "Hi Kenny: The first pass through my CD player prompted the following comparisons: ....the guitar fills remind me of Lee Ritenour...
... the singing, to me, is reminiscent of Firefall's hit, You Are The Woman. Of course I compared you to old people, but I stopped listening to top 40 radio in 1989. Excellent CD." Steve Rapson, Producer, author of The Art Of The Solo Performer, guitarist
• "It was really great seeing you, and your new band play on Thursday night. The music was fantastic as usual, and your new band adds to the music magic! Wonderful performance! You really do have a fabulous singing voice. Hope to attend another show soon. Take care" Kathy
• "Very much enjoyed your music - nice guitar work and wonderful vocals....must be said - it was a pleasure." an unknown fan at gig
• "Robert Carlson and Kenny Selcer (didn't get the drummer's name) were seriously off the charts last Saturday night at the Earth Day concert at the Shirley Town Hall. Boy! Either of those guys can split yer noggin with their playing, but to have both of 'em onstage at the same time is a treat for guitar loving ears and my ears were loving the guitars those boys were layin' into. Superb stuff. Superb players. All 7 of my hats are off to you gentlemen!!!" Jon McAuliffe
• "Kenny.... guess sometimes we do not appreciate just how talented and creative those around us are... your performance with the equally impressive and talented Robert Carlson this past Saturday in Old Shirley was simply INCREDIBLE. You were essentially following along on songs you did not know and they were the better for it! Wow!" Roger Fluet
• "Kenny Selcer, is a great player. The funniest part of music for me is when you get musicians to take a chance, and see what happens, with Kenny the outcome is always great!" Rob Carlson
